Objectives for 2022

1) We applied for a new area, at Gunny Bag, which is south east of Walcha (ELA6428). We hope that the area is prospective for critical minerals. We wait on the examination process by the Department. 

2) Previously we were granted an exploration licence to explore the area covered by the historic Mummel Goldfields (EL9270). 

We will be carrying out one field trip per month. Then, every two or three months, we will take rock specimens to Orange for analysis by the geologist, Max Rangott, and metal assays by ALS. 

Rocks from prospective areas which  we have found to have  elevated levels of critical minerals, are to be crushed and assayed. Then the crushed samples will be treated with simple physical processes, such as magnetism, gravity and flotation. The aim is to see if these simple processes can produce concentrates of critical metals. The first set of samples are underway and another set of rocks will be test later in 2022.

The Community Meeting was planned for July 2022 at Nowendoc Memorial Hall. But because of ongoing problems with Covid, we have cancelled and will try to hold it in 2023. Further details to come. 

This website gives landowners and communities updates on the progress of exploration. We also write an annual report to the landowners who have an agreement with us to explore on their property. 

The annual reports for the exploration licences were submitted to the Department in February and May 2022. The renewals are due in 2025.
