Assays

1) Assays were received in the period for metallurgical studies (see below).

2) We re-started our 2022 field work and collected 108 rock samples which we took to Orange in June for analysis. We expect the metal assays to be reported to us in September 2022. 

3) The Covid lockdown in 2021 caused a halt to exploration for 6 months, so we are happy to be carrying out 1 field trip per month, and hope that it will continue throughout 2022. 

Metallurgy

Our metallurgical studies aim to see whether critical metals can be concentrated from rock samples by simple physical processes such as gravity, magnetism and flotation.  Bulk samples of rocks from 13 sites were taken to ALS to assay and crush. The assays gave highly anomalous levels of palladium, nickel, copper, cobalt, vanadium, scandium, and titanium. The samples are from massive outcrops of "fresh" rock with sulphides. These mafic-ultramafic rocks were from various areas within our Exploration licences. Once we are able to pick up the crushed rock from Orange, we'll be carrying out trials to concentrate the critical metals. This is the first stage to see if high grade concentrates of critical metals can be produced.

New area for exploration - ELA6428

In our continuous search for critical minerals in the southern tip of the New England Orogen, we applied for exploration licence: EL6428 at Gunny Bag. This area is shown in the map on the left side of the page. It is located south east of Walcha and west of Mount Seaview. It has three prospective areas and we hope that the application will be approved, then we can explore for rare earths, nickel, copper, cobalt and platinum group metals. It will take about 12 months or more for the application to be processed. The area has 24 units.
